Tip Toe'n in my Superstars..

Well, this is long overdue. This is my sweet pad, I dig it a lot. Although it's small, I figure I should get use to it now, because wherever I chose to live after college is probably gonna be just as cramped with hella roommates. Moving in was rather easy, we sprayed the hell out of the mattress with bed bug spray and put an allergen cover on top of that. All of these precautions were necessary because, I am not having that bed bug situation, no ma'am. On another note, I am falling into my second week of school and so far it's good. I'm human, so I can't help but wonder what it'll be like when college is over and that true adulthood kicks in, am I going to be ready or am I going to make it? Those are just a few questions that cross my mind. I'd be lying if I said I 100% believe that everything is going to go accordingly. I am prepared to fail a few times, but only with reassurance that one of those times will be the last time. There's some things that I just expect to go down easy and other things I expect to have to work extremely hard for and I'm willing and able so, it's pretty much time to go to work. As funny as those guys seem that say, "no days off" and "no sleep", it really is important. Someone out there is working just as hard as me and another person is out there working harder than me. I want to get to where I wanna go and the only person that can stop me, is me. This really went far far away from just showing you my room, aha. But ya'll need to hear this mannn, get out there and do the work.

Oh I did a lil shopping, aha. I picked up a pair of original adidas.  I really thought I had a "shoe game", but I don't. It's really people out here with a crazy shoe game. I can't afford to be looking that fly, so I'll be looking affordable fly (lol).
Be easy,

XOXO Lou

Whole squad on that real sh**

(She went 0 to 100, real quick)

"Could it be the way, I'llll catch up." As the jam's played the night carried laughs and all that great stuff you expect to have the night before you head back off to college. Some things never change man, sometimes you link up with those old friends and you pick up right where you left off. That's how you know its real. Tonight's "lituation" consisted of good take out, good music and good conversation. "Do you think Drake is soft?" Yes lol Drake is a soft a** rapper, but he's still good. "What about J. Cole? I love J.Cole." *Emily voice* I wanted to say no lol I really did, but Cole is a genius. I learned of J.Cole through love, so I have much love for his music. We went from rappers to politics, to a crazy video on youtube of a lady pepper spraying this rude D-bag in the check out line (crying it was so hilarious). Friends come few and far between and real ones even harder to come by. Know them when they show up in your life, they're probably there for a good reason.. You might have those friends that bring you Japanese food when your car is busted or that friend that hooks you up with free cable, but all in all thats your friend.. As SZA carried us through the night, I knew that I made the right choice all those years ago on choosing these two hot babes as my homies. I'll be missing you, but I must get back to trappin in Tampa. Much love.

New York state of mind..

This, by my standards was the definition of a successful vacation. This city is magical, I was in a complete state of bliss, if it wasn't obvious. From Brooklyn, to Harlem, to the Bronx to Harlem, there was just so much to take in. If I didn't think New York was the move before, I'm positive it's the move now. I love it, the history, the vibe, all of it.

Brooklyn and Harlem were probably my favorite places. A lot of inspiration for some great pieces came from being surrounded by awesomeness in Dumbo. The Shake Shack is freaking delicious, Amy Ruth's in Harlem was yum yum yum! I don't know, I just felt so at home. It wasn't overwhelming, it was just the right amount of hustle and bustle. I almost lost my MetroCard a few times, trying to take pictures and fumbling with the camera bag, looking like a true tourist lol.

But, as I write this post sitting on my couch, in sunny, humid, Florida, I miss my New York City home. All summer I was just excited to make money, get to New York and then go back to college. It came sooo freaking fast though man. I never once thought I'd miss summer, but I definitely will. Granted a lot of great concerts, projects and people are in the near future (Three days to be exact), I'm still gonna miss my summer of romance in the city. Buuut, fall is near and it can only get better! How was your summer? Are you ready for fall semester? Let me know.

What are summer clothes?

Dude I don't even know what summer clothes are at this point. Leather? Year round. Black? Year round. Boots? Year round. I love summer, I do, don't get me wrong, but Fall, I mean, fall is just such an amazing blend of greatness. Two magical seasons, all rolled into one. Plus, fall brings so many great concerts to the Sunshine State, especially down south. If it isn't easily recognizable, I've been overly obsessed with quality boots and great prints for this lovely summer (minus the 6 out of 7 days a week I spend in my birkies) but now, I'm ready to transition to that all black swankiness for fall months. Leather and fringe? They be the homies. My super dope list is going to keep me on the edge of my seat during Fall semester. August, I'll see you soon baby! *wink

|| DIY Sunday in the Trap ||

DIYYYYY in the Trap! lol Just kidding, but no today's DIY activities was seriously the best idea I've ever had. These cute little DIY succulents/cactus terrariums are so gnarly. For one, they're awesome because you can make them as colorful as you want, but they're also super low maintenance and inexpensive to make. The vibe was super relaxed and everyone was having  a good  time. This topped off my birthday weekend. For sure. I'm beyond stoked to have these little guys in my sweet pad. Hope your day is going well. Stay rad!

Happy 4th/ Happy Born Day

"All your life you've never seen a woman taken by the wind…"for some reason Fleetwood Mac just puts me in one of those moods. Especially on a day like this, rolling straight into one of the greatest day's in the history of this lovely earth, my BORN DAY! I share this day with so many great friends, baby Sav and Liza! 19 doesn't really seem that special, but another year with great friends, great tunes and good vibes is okay in my book. The fourth brought some pretty gnarly memories and I can only hope for more to come. As the years continue to pass, I feel like I'm running out of time to do a lot of what I want, so making the most of all the small moments, equal out to be one insane climb up Kilimanjaro. 19, I'm ready for ya, 20..I'm coming for ya, 21…don't even get me started!

P.S.  Never use a mini lighter to light Explosive Sparklers. You will walk away with war wounds.
